Grindfunkel brengt postpunk en alternative rock. De driemansformatie – zang/gitaar (Oetsen de Beer), bas (Kees Terwisscha van Scheltinga, voormalige The Toylets) en drums (Ingmar Plantenga) brengen een mengeling van rock, punk en Indie. Je hoort echo’s van Motorspycho, Queens of the Stone Age, Nirvana, Motörhead, Pixies, Smashing Pumpkins en Replacements. Maar vooral een stevig eigen geluid.
